A volte, le cose accadono ancora come negli anni ‘80 e ‘90: Maurizio e Federico si sono conosciuti incontrandosi in quei pochi posti in città che ancora resistono vendendo vinili, VHS, DVD, fumetti, amenità da collezionista, ecc. Scoperto di avere gusti e amici in comune, Oddone coinvolge Maurizio Rosenzweig (fumettista di Dylan Dog, e non solo) così che quest’ultimo, disegnando a-incastro tra tempi e problemi del quotidiano nell’agosto più torrido degli ultimi trent’anni, disegna e ragala (!) all’Oddo quest’unica illustrazione dedicata ai concerti che verranno per le ristampe del periodo 1993-1996 e 1996-2000, e di cui verrà stampata una locandina ad hoc in formato cinematografico… rimanete sintonizzati.

Sometimes, things still happen just like they did in the ’80s and ’90s: Maurizio Rosenzweig and Federico Oddone met at one of the few places in Milan that, against all odds, still keeps on selling vinyl records, VHS tapes, DVDs, comic books, weird collector’s items, and so on. Upon discovering that they shared common tastes and some mutual friends, Oddone asked him to hop on board, so Maurizio (who is, among other things, a comic book artist for the well known Italian character Dylan Dog), finding time amid the demands and challenges of everyday life during the hottest August in the last thirty years, drew and gifted (!) to Oddo an exclusive and one-of-a-kind illustration dedicated to the upcoming gigs that will support the record reissues covering the years 1993–1996 and 1996–2000. This illustration will also be custom printed as a special lobby-card sized poster, so… stay tuned!

I SOTTOPRESSIONE sono finalmente orgogliosi di annunciare, rispettivamente a distanza di 32 e di 30 anni, le ristampe in vinile su F.O.A.D Record in splits label con (udite udire) T.V.O.R. on Vinyl Records, dei dischi del loro primo periodo 1993-1996:

• “È il Momento”, che presenterà in copertina il colore granata-amaranto voluto originariamente dalla band per l’uscita dell’epoca, conterrà oltre alla tracklist integrale, anche l’advance tape, e le tracce dalle compilation “Not Enough – 5 Bands From Milan” e “Difficile Credere ad una Compilazione di Old School Italiano”, uscirà in formato 12” a 45 giri;
• “S/T” (quello che tutti i loro fan chiamano confidenzialmente “L’Incudine”), conterrà oltre alla tracklist integrale, anche la traccia fantasma presente solo nella versione CD, uscirà in formato 12” a 45 giri.

Entrambe le produzioni sono state rimasterizzate dai nastri originali, a mantenere il tiro primordiale dell’epoca. Le uscite saranno corredate della loro veste grafica originale ma in un inedito formato gatefold, ciascuna sarà arricchita da un booklet infarcito di ricordi finora mai pubblicati e da un poster dedicato stampato fronte/retro, il tutto realizzato a qualità di stampa eccellente! In fine, ma non da meno, ogni titolo sarà prodotto in sole 540 copie di cui le prime 108 in vinile colorato… Cannibali del Vinile, state allerta!

 

Vinyl reissues for “È il Momento“ and “S/T” out in September 2026!

At long last, after 32 and 30 years respectively, SOTTOPRESSIONE are proud to announce the vinyl reissues of their early records from 1993-1996 that will be out on F.O.A.D. Records in a joint effort with (believe it or not) T.V.O.R. on Vinyl Records:

• “È il Momento”, which will come in a oxblood-amaranth cover color that was the first choice of the band for the original release, will not only include the complete 7″ EP but also the whole advance tape and tracks from the compilations “Not Enough – 5 Bands From Milan” and “Difficile Credere ad una Compilazione di Old School Italiano.”, it will be released as a 12” 45 rpm record;
• “S/T” (the one that all fans affectionately call “L’incudine” – “The Anvil”), will not only include the complete LP but also the hidden ghost-track from the CD version, it will be released as a 12″ 45 rpm record.

Both releases have been remastered from the original tapes to preserve the raw energy of that era. The records will feature their original artwork, but in a brand-new gatefold format, each will be accompanied by a booklet packed with previously unpublished memories and a dedicated double-sided poster, all issued with excellent print quality! Last but not least, each reissue will be produced in a limited run of just 540 copies, with the first 108 on colored vinyl… stay tuned, you Vinyl Cannibals!

Sottopressione will take the stage at the Invincible Fest in Rome on June 14th as the opening act for Circle Jerks, and at the Margini Fest in Grosseto on August 29th as headliners.
